Finding Common Ground

So that young people thrive in school

Training and Support for professionals

It can be challenging for school staff to know how best to build relationships with parents and carers, particularly if the young person has additional needs.  The Finding Common Ground project offers training and support to professionals working with families and schools.

About

Building strong relationships between families and schools

A strong collaborative relationship between family and school is a key element in a child's success.  How is that relationship built and maintained.  What strategies have been shown to have impact?  What can be done when the relationship is under strain or breaks down?

This relevant and practical course is provided in person or as a webinar and lasts between 2 hours and half a day.

"The training was very informative, looking both from the perspective of parents as well as from that of the school. The approach shared gave great clarity about the role of the school."
